 Cortez Pearls® are rare saltwater cultured pearls that come from the rainbow-lipped Pteria sterna oyster, native to Mexico’s Sea of Cortez.

 This 11mm Semi-Round Cortez Pearl is a completely natural gem with no treatment whatsoever. It was once thought that the Preria Sterna oyster could not produce semi-round pearls, and it’s highly unusual to find pearls over 11mm in size, making this an extremely rare find. This pearl has a rich, bright luster and striking iridescence, making it a true one-of-a-kind.
