Introducing our Woz™ Cut
So, what's the story behind the Woz™?
Our Founder, Eric, recalls opening his first office in the late 70's after working out of his house for the first six months in business. Soon after, a friend opened a neighboring office for gem cutting and was one of the first 'fancy' cutters Eric met in the industry. This friend had developed a creative eight-sided cushion, which was highly unusual at the time.
While that exact shape is a distant memory, it is one that has stuck with Eric and inspired some of the creativity you find in our gem lineup today.
The Woz™ Cut is a shape created in reminiscence of this memory and named in tribute to that friend, John Wozencraft.
