Returns Policy

Return for Merchandise Credit

Returns must be pre-authorized with an RA number and are eligible for merchandise credit only. Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt. Items returned after 14 days are subject to a restocking fee: $20 for returns valued at $200 or less, and 10% for returns valued over $200.

If you would like to continue with a return, please follow the steps below.

How to Start a Return (RA Number Required)

1. Contact Customer Service

Call (800) 888-2444 with your:

  • Original invoice number
  • Date of shipment
  • Request for an RA (Return Authorization) number

2. Describe the Issue

Please explain the reason for return in detail (for example: “received wrong size” or “ordered 14k white gold and received 14k yellow gold”). An RA will not be issued without a detailed description of the issue.

3. Receive RA Approval

Once approved, you will be issued an RA number from a member of our team.

4. Prepare Packing

  • Clearly write your RA# on the outside of the shipping box
  • Include the RA# inside the package on your paperwork
  • Include a copy of original invoice, original labels, baggies, and all original packing materials

    Please note that all jewelry or gemstones must be in original condition and will not be accepted if shipped loose or in anything other than their original packaging with appropriate labels still attached.

5. Ship via Insured Carrier

Your shipment must be through an insured carrier. Return shipping costs and insurance are the responsibility of the buyer.

Important Shipping Notes

  • Do not write “gold,” “gemstones,” “diamonds,” or any jewelry-related terms on the outside of the package.
  • Keep your tracking number and all correspondence for your records.
  • Columbia Gem House is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

Once your return is received:

  • Items will be inspected to confirm they meet return guidelines.
  • Items must be in original, unaltered condition.
  • If approved, merchandise credit will be issued to your Columbia Gem House account within 7 business days.

Return Guidelines

All returns must meet the following conditions will not be accepted:

  • Must include original invoice and RA number - Returns without an RA number clearly marked on the outside of the package may be returned to sender
  • Must include original label attached to the item in its original packaging
  • Items must be unworn, unaltered, and in original condition
  • Custom-built or special-order items are not returnable
  • Matching fees are non-refundable and are not eligible for returns

Restocking fee: Any returns initiated after 14 days will be subject to a restocking fee: $20 for returns valued at $200 or less, and 10% for returns valued over $200.

While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, occasional listing errors may occur. We reserve the right to correct any product information prior to completing a transaction or shipping merchandise.
