Kite shaped gems just flew in!
It’s a bird… It’s a plane… wait, it’s a Kite! Back in 2019, we began R&D with our cutting workshop for new styles. During this process, we started to play with the idea of cutting kite shaped gems. Fast forward to now and we offer an entire line of these gems, which we call our Kyte Cut™ Collection.
The Kyte Cut™ Collection has grown beyond just standard faceted kite shaped gems. This collection also includes rose cut kites, tablet cut kites, and even a few fantasy kites. We cut these in a number of gem varieties: Amethyst, Anthill Garnet, Aquamarine, Blue Topaz, Citrine, Moonstone, Morganite, Neon Green Beryl™, Ruby, Sapphire, Sunstone, Spessartite Garnet, Tourmaline, Zircon, as well as Tourmalated, Rutilated and Quill Quartz. We also offer this style in opaque gem varieties such as Agate, Black Spinel, Blue Chalcedony, Purple Sage Chalcedony, Bronze Sapphire, Chilean Lapis, Ruby, and Turquoise.
You can find these kite shaped gems in sizes as small as 5x3mm all the way up to 20x14mm depending on variety and cut – all of which are produced in calibrated and repeatable styles.
