Zircon is highly doubly refractive, meaning it splits light into two distinct rays as it passes through the stone, creating a fascinating visual effect. This phenomenon is visible in some of our product photos, where the facets may appear 'doubled' or 'ghosted'—a hint at the remarkable brilliance these stones display in person.
