Product Details: "Night on the American Outback"
Growing up with two environmental scientists as parents, I’ve always felt deeply connected to the wild outdoors and the values of sustainability. My childhood in Arizona immersed me in the raw beauty of the desert, and that landscape naturally led me to imagine the Australian outback and the echoes between the two.
This piece brings that vision to life: a rose gold plateau under blackened silver skies, kissed by a golden opal moon. I layered and contrasted 10k yellow and rose gold atop both polished and antiqued silver to create depth and dimension, allowing the opals and sapphires to shine without distraction.
At its heart is a compass motif that speaks to journey and belonging. Two pear-shaped opals mark north and south, round green sapphires mark east and west, and blue marquise sapphires define the intercardinal points—symbolizing the ways nature, place, and experience guide our paths across the world and through every season of life.
The medallion pendant measures approximately 1.75 inches in diameter at its widest point, and has a box chain that measures approximately 20 inches in length.
