You're Radiating Golden Light
With November bringing a colorful start to the change of the seasons, you can see why citrine landed itself as this month's birthstone. A radiating mimicry of autumn colors. Much of the citrine you'll find on the market is a yellow to yellow-gold color, which is heavily sourced from Brazil, but can also be sourced from Zambia. Another variety, which is one of our favorites, we refer to as the 'Maderia' shade. This is a rich orange-brown, with a beautiful depth in color. Almost like Maderia wine. Then at the end of the citrine spectrum is an even darker...

Oh My Opal...
The traditional birthstone for October, Opal, comes from the Greek word opallos meaning “to see a change.” Opal’s famed and fiery display of changing colors is better known as 'play-of-color.' A fitting name as Arabic mythology even attests to opals coming to earth through lightning strikes to the ground. While not all opals display play-of-color, you will always find an ethereal essence present.Opals are mined in many places around the world: Australia, Ethiopia, and Brazil to name a few. We source a wide range of opals (many of which we are in the process of uploading to the web!), though...

Harder-Than-Steel... Sapphires!
This traditional September birthstone has been known and praised since ancient times and for good reason! Between its transcendent colors and harder-than-steel composition (literally), this gem will outlive many of those who behold them. Suited to be set in any jewelry design, this gem is just simply hard to beat. That’s because this gem is Sapphire. Sappheiros, the Greek word meaning “blue color,” speaks to what some consider to be the original color of this gem. Yet, sapphire comes in every color of the rainbow. In fact, it comes in mixed colors, color change, stars, and more! Across every one...
